- How to Help

Located in Yonkers.
A kind loving heart and home needed. This is Goldie (the light-colored tabby kitty) and her seeing-eye friend (the black and white kitty who still needs a name). These two sweethearts are spayed and have been living in the back of an apartment building for some time now. They are both sweet but shy of humans, for now. Goldie is a special needs kitty. She is partial, if not completely blind, and her friend is her eyes. They remain in the backyard for the most part, but last winter poor Goldie wandered off and got lost in the snow. Her friend found her, but she was so skinny and visibly shaken up.
I would like to get these two into a home before the fall/winter begins. They look tired of having to weather the outdoors. This would be a rescue in the truest sense where the human will need to be patient while providing a loving, permanent home for these two lovebirds. I do need to reiterate that they absolutely must stay together. If they feel your love and kindness they may be affectionate with you down the road. Some take more time than others. I know, if nothing else, these two would love you from a short distance and look at you with longing faces of 'Thank you.' Particularly Goldie. I see the struggle and sadness in her face. Transportation is available if you live upstate. I'm just so looking forward to the day when I see pictures of them snuggled in a bed in a loving, permanent home. Note: they will be vetted prior to the adoption. Please contact Kristin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our mission is to aid homeless, abandoned and neglected cats and dogs, to nurture them in the foster care of volunteers, to provide veterinary care and socialization, and to place them in permanent loving and responsible homes.
