With his big brown eyes, ears that stand at attention, and an 18-pound frame built for cuddles, 2 year old Maverick is hard to resist. Maverick is a homebody at heart. He lives for couch naps, staying close to his people, and the simple joy of a good snuggle session. Maverick is food motivated, loves a good puzzle treat game, and has made impressive strides working with a professional trainer. He's ready to keep learning with the right family by his side. Day-to-day life with Maverick is easy. He's fully potty trained, crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs, but finds cats a little too exciting, so no cats for this boy. He thrives on routine and is not a barker. Maverick would do best in a calm, structured home with adults or older children (he slept with his 6 year old prior human) who appreciate a dog that rewards consistency and patience. He's neutered and up to date on all veterinary care, so he's ready to walk right into his new forever home.
