Ria is an incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate dog who absolutely loves people, children, and other dogs. If your family is looking for a constant companion who gives a million kisses a day and happily follows you everywhere, Ria may be the perfect fit! Ria settled into her foster home right away and her foster mom says “she has been a joy to foster". She sleeps through the night, is house trained, and has been wonderful with everyone she meets. Ria enjoys playing with other dogs and children, eats her dry food well, and doesn’t beg for table scraps. She’ll also happily go potty in a fenced yard…and Ria doesn’t bark when someone is at the door…even the mailman! At one year old, Ria still has some puppy behaviors, although she is not destructive, and there has been no mischievous chewing, and as with any puppy, will benefit from redirection and training. Ria is smart and food motivated. She already knows “sit,” “come,” “down,” and “stay,” though she still needs consistency and reinforcement to listen reliably without treats. She’s also working on leash manners, especially when squirrels are involved. She gets excited when meeting people and is still working on not jumping up, and is a bit of a Houdini, who has figured out how to push past retractable gates. Ria is a loving, happy dog with so much personality and affection to give. If a family wants a million licks a day and a shadow to follow them around, this is the right dog!
