Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Bree...

Introducing sweet Bree! She is an eleven months old puppy full of curiosity, energy and playfulness. She loves people, kids, and other dogs. She hasn't met a dog she doesn't immediately want to play with! She loves to play fetch and frolic in the water at the beach. She also loves playing with indestructible toys, chewing on an antler bone, or snacking on carrots, green beans or dog biscuits. She works for treats and will sit, come and return the ball in hopes of getting a snack. She is a fairly good walker on a harness and walks with a lot of swagger! Bree is very good in the car: quiet and happy to go along on the adventure. She is full of life and very comical. Her days are spent with energetic pursuits, but when tired after a good beach visit or good run, she settles down, puts her head on your shoulder and snuggles. She sleeps in her crate and is crated only when her foster Mom is not home. Bree is currently 45 lbs, she may reach 50lbs full grown.
Bree is working on her house training and would do well in a house with a yard so she can get out to the bathroom easily (currently she is in an apartment and it's a long trip downstairs to hold it). She would enjoy an active family and even another dog to play with.
