Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Erina...

Erina is an adorable brindle beauty, about 3 years old and 40 lbs.  We are guessing she is an Australian Shepherd mixwhatever her breed she is uniquely adorable with one ear up and one ear flopped; one blue eye and one brown; and white socks on her feet. She is doing wonderfully in her foster home with two teenage boys and their parents. She is housebroken and crate-trained, loves a good game of fetch, and can also entertain herself with her toys. She has a lot of stamina so will need an outlet for her energy and inquisitive nature. After some moderate exercise and a few walks, she's happy to settle down at your feet.  Erina loves food and treats so with her smarts she'll quickly perfect her leash handling and basic commands. Harnessing and leashing is no problem at all and on her walks, she is stimulated and taking in all the sights and sounds of the suburban neighborhood.  Erina may have previously lived with dogs as she seems very eager to want to play.  She has had several positive interactions with dogs on her walks. She is very sweet, friendly and affectionate, and so deserving of a loving home.  Click here to watch of a video of sweet Erina.
