Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Sadie...

Sadie is a beautiful inside and out 1 ½ year old lab/hound mix weighting 48 lbs.  She loves playing in the yard with her furry four legged friends, comes when called, enjoys her chew toys and runs with her squeaky ones.  She loves belly rubs and gives gentle kisses.  She is house broken and I mean run the house, house broken.  If you have a fenced yard, she love to chase squirrels and birds and when she finds her special spots, she will do her business there all the time. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night without a peep until the 2 pups and 5 cats she lives with stir.  She walks well on the leash and when she knows that a walk is in store, stands and waits for you to put it on her.  She will follow you everywhere if you let her.  Sadie is very cautious at first and would do best with older children.  She is looking for her special furever family.  Due to her cautious nature, she would do best with experienced dog owners.
