Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Pinta...

Pinta is a beautiful 3 year old pup, with the most interesting brown and speckled coat.  She is a smart girl, already potty trained who loves to play with her toys and is especially good at finding the treats inside her toy puzzle.  She learns commands quickly.  Pinta likes to be with her human family She enjoys joining them on the couch and sitting near for endless scratches.  Pinta comes alive when she is outside.  Once comfortable on a street or in a new area, she is a complete joy to walk.  Pinta loves to greet dogs while outside on a leash and will go as far as you like on hikes or just in the neighborhood... and she might make a good running partner. Pinta also loves physical games outside with her humans, especially hide and seek. Pinta will bond with her family but is initially hesitant around new people and unexpected noises.  Although she will interact with other dogs, she will do best as the only dog.  Pinta is looking for a forever home that will work with her and help her build confidence.
