Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Matilda...

Matilda is a sweet and housetrained little lady with big bunny ears.  She needs a home with another dog to show her that the world is a fun and safe place. All she asks for are lots of fun toys to play with and delicious snacks every now and then! Matilda is crate trained but prefers to sleep wherever her doggy pals do- curled up on the couch or in a cozy dog bed. She is learning to walk well on a leash and takes her cues from other dogs. She adores ear scratches and will boop you with her nose to remind you of that. Matilda would do best in a calm home with older children who will share their snacks with her- she is a happy and curious dog but is timid around new people unless they are holding cheese.
