Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Charlie...

**WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR CHARLIE, BUT PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR OUR PETRESCUE SITE FOR OTHER AVAILABLE DOGS.**

This guy is unbearably cute...all 18 lbs. of him. How can you resist that face and those eyes?  Charlie is housebroken when kept on a schedule, enjoys walks with his canine buddies, and is friendly to all he meets. He will do best in a suburban living situation, in an adult home, or with older children.
Although his name is Charlie, we could also call him Houdini.  Charlie is a whiz at finding a way out of fenced in yards.  He would make a great apartment dog. Charlie bonds quickly, loves to spend time on your lap and is a cuddle bug and will never say no to a belly rub. One look at those big brown eyes, and you'll be a fan.
