Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Humphrey...

Determined to not let anything like missing an eye slow him down, Humphrey lives life to the full. Humphrey is an adorable 8 year-old miniature poodle mix that weighs about 14 pounds. Fortunately his life took a turn for the better, when Petrescue fell in love with him and rescued him from the ACC.  Humphrey loves his humans and would do best in an adult only household.  While Humphrey gets along with other dogs and cats, he would prefer to be your one and only.  This little man would enjoy a person that is home a lot so he can get lots of cuddles and follow you around the house.  Humphrey would benefit from a forever home that will work with him to learn to properly greet people coming to the door, and make him feel more comfortable in his crate.
