Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Milo...

Hi!  My name is Milo. I am a loving, kind pooch.   I enjoy spending time with my family, and my favorite thing do is snuggle. I will curl up in any available lap and I’m happy to stay there all day. I love absolutely everyone.  Well, except other dogs when I’m on a leash, out on a walk.   My family recently moved from Westchester to NYC and try as I may, I just can’t get used to it.  I’m used to a backyard.  Walking on a leash in NYC, with all those dogs, and all that noise is out of the question for me.  But I am able to spend time with other dogs in an off leash situation.  I get along well with my furry foster sister and enjoy playing in the yard. I realize that leash walks and me don’t agree.  I need to find a new home with a fully fenced in backyard and a family with older children that is OK with taking me for an occasional leash walk in a quiet neighborhood. I am completely house broken and crate trained, and I sleep through the night.  In all modesty, I’m a great family dog and companion.  Can you be the family I am looking for?
