Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Hunter...

Are you looking for a beach buddy?  Then Hunter is the guy for you!  Hunter is a 5-month old beagle mix weighing 26 lbs.  Hunter gets along with kids, people and other dogs.  He lives in a house with 4 kids and 2 furry siblings and they all love him!  Hunter loves going to the beach and trips to the park.  He responds to his name when called!  Hunter is very smart and treat motivated so it has been easy to train him.  When kept on a schedule, he is almost completely potty trained and happily sleeps in his crate all night.  Hunter is calm and travels well in the car.   After playing at the park or beach, Hunter loves to cuddle up and take a good long nap, he makes an excellent snuggle partner and happily shares his space.  Hunter would do great in a house with or without dogs but would prefer an active family to live with who will take him everywhere with them.  Could Hunter be your beach buddy?
