Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Tootie...

Tootie is an adorable Maltese mix with creamy white fur, soft apricot markings, soulful brown eyes, and the cutest little tail that curls into a tiny coil at the tip! She is a charming little lady with a personality all her own. She’s a bit discerning about her friendships, but once you’re one of her people, she’s an easygoing, loyal companion. She’ll happily follow you around, curl up on your lap, or simply relax nearby. Her favorite greeting is a wag of that perfectly curled tail and a sweet nuzzle into your hand. After coming into rescue from a home with many other dogs, Tootie is enjoying the comforts of a predictable routine and attention of her own. She appreciates a gentle approach and a little time to warm up. She’s done beautifully with other dogs, including her senior foster sister. She enjoys leisurely walks with her adorable bouncy strut but doesn’t need much exercise to be content. She is house-trained and sleeps in a crate beside her foster family’s bed. Tootie is looking for a loving home with no small children, where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy the simple pleasures of companionship, comfort, and belonging. Complete an application online and come meet Tootie at our Meet & Greet on Saturday, 11:30–1:30!
