Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About ZZ Turbo-Courtesy Listing...

Meet Turbo...a handsome 2 year old male Shepherd mix who is healthy, energetic, smart, and full of potential. He can be a little shy and tentative when meeting new people, but give him a little time and patience, and he warms up quickly. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality really starts to shine.Turbo has plenty of energy and loves being active, but he also does well indoors and is perfectly happy relaxing in the house for extended periods. He has no issues with other dogs and has met two female Labs with no problems at all. Because Turbo can be a little unsure of new people at first, he would do best in a loving, patient home with teenagers or older children and people who have some time to give him attention, encouragement, and positive training. And this boy is smart! Turbo has that classic Shepherd intelligence and already knows a few simple commands, including sit and paw. With some consistent training and positive reinforcement, he could learn so much more in a surprisingly short time. Given his size, speed, athleticism and intelligence, Turbo could even be a fantastic candidate for dog agility activities. Turbo is the kind of dog who may need a little patience at the beginning, but once he trusts you, you'll have a loyal, loving, incredibly smart companion by your side. Turbo is ready for a home where he can gain confidence, learn, play and most importantly, be loved. If you are interested in meeting Turbo please contact     djgsch@gmail.com
