Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Toro...

Meet Toro! ...6 months old and 24 pounds and up to date on vaccines. This handsome Shepherd mix is the perfect combination of playful, and easygoing. He’s already leash trained, almost fully housebroken, and sleeps quietly in his crate at night.  He loves playing in the backyard, and taking walks around the block, especially if he can interact with other dogs. He would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and companionship. When playtime is over, he enjoys spending time with his people, and is perfectly content to hang out in the office with his owner while they work. He’s also not a big barker. Because he loves running and playing outdoors, a securely fenced-in backyard, although not necessary, would be a plus.  He would do well with an active family, and a home with adolescent children would be an ideal fit for his playful, personality. This boy is ready to find a family who will continue helping him grow into the wonderful adult dog he’s destined to become. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
