Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About ZZ Tony-Courtesy Listing...

Tony Needs a Foster by August 31st

Meet Tony, a sweet 2-year-old Shepherd who was rescued from the ACC after being tied to a pole and abandoned. Tony is a young, energetic boy who is looking for a foster home and ultimately a family who will give him the patience, structure, and confidence-building he needs. Tony needs a shepherd experienced home that understands anxiety and is willing to work with him. He is very uncomfortable around other dogs, so for now we are looking for a no other dog, no other pets home. With proper training and confidence building exercises, we hope that may change  The good news? Tony absolutely loves people! He hasn't met a person he doesn't like. He's affectionate, playful, and eager to have a family of his own. Because he is strong and energetic, we're recommending children 13 and older.  Once Tony gains some additional weight, he will be neutered. Please share Tony's story. This boy has already been through so much and deserves a safe, loving place to land.
