Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

A little About Laverne...

Laverne is a show stopper with her beautiful distinctive roan speckled markings, perky ears and graceful athletic build. She's only 17 pounds but she packs a lot of personality, intelligence and love into her small package. A friendly girl  Laverne is on her way out of puppyhood and is currently very successful in her house training when on a regular schedule. Laverne enjoys hanging out in her crate (by choice), walks well on a leash and plays nicely with other kennel dogs. She rides quietly in the car, sleeps peacefully in her own room at night, seems eager to please and does not bark compulsively.  Laverne is food motivated and has a  low prey drive. She is a quick learner and is responding well to verbal cues like "stay" and "come". Laverne will enjoy joining her active family on regular hikes and runs. Laverne's sensitive, intelligent nature will thrive in a calm household with regular exercise and playtime. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30
