Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.

 Atziri is a name of Aztec origin, symbolizing freshness, nature, and celestial beauty... a perfect match for this radiant little soul. At just 1.5 years old and 12 pounds, Atziri is a charming Chihuahua mix with personality wrapped in a petite frame. Her beautiful dark brown eyes shine with curiosity, and her ears stand straight up in the air, giving her an adorably alert and expressive look. Friendly with people, other dogs, and even cats, Atziri is as social as she is sweet. She’s active and playful, and  walks nicely on leash and enjoys exploring the world by your side. With her lively spirit, loving heart, and celestial-inspired name, Atziri truly embodies natural beauty and joyful energy in one tiny, delightful package.
