Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About Max...

Max is a handsome and unique mini schnauzer- 2 years old and 10 lbs. He can see and hear, just not perfectly (which only adds to his charm). His personality is silly, lovable, and endlessly optimistic. He is spunky and loves going for walks & running around the fenced in yard. He smiles and growls at the same time… but don’t worry, it’s not aggression — it’s just one of his quirky, goofy ways to communicate. Totally Max. Totally lovable. He loves to ride—anywhere-- he is game to go! He loves to be held and is happy where you are! He loves other dogs—another dog would be good—otherwise if you leave him alone he will sing the song of his people for a bit. He is doing well with housebreaking when kept on a schedule. Max adores people, loves attention, and has a one-of-a-kind personality - real character-that will make you laugh every single day ... he's quirky, joyful, and full of love. Be sure to complete an application online and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
