Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Archer...

Archer is a 4-year-old Maltipoo mix with a gentle heart and an affectionate spirit. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he bonds deeply and becomes a devoted companion. Archer loves to be near his people—he’ll follow you from room to room, curl up beside you, and quietly rest a paw on your arm for more pets. He does well with other dogs, and is excited to meet them, and has been kind and patient with children. Archer is housebroken, crate-trained, and learning to walk nicely on leash. He’s smart, intuitive, and eager to please, especially when guided with calm confidence.  Archer will thrive in a home where he’s included in daily life and valued for his gentle, thoughtful nature. If you’re looking for a steady, soulful companion who’ll make your home feel more complete, Archer might be your perfect match. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturdays 11:30-1:30.
