Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Denver...

Denver is an adorable 4-year-old Poodle-Havanese mix... a perfect bundle of joy with a stunning grey coat. He has a friendly, loving personality, gets along great with people and other dogs and is always ready to share some tail wags and affection. He is very sweet and gives kisses and cuddles. Denver will walk right into his crate whenever he wants to sleep or to have a quiet moment. He sleeps quietly in his crate all night. He is a quick learner, wants to please and responds well to commands. Within a few days he has learned “stay, come, outside” and he is learning “quiet”. He is generally quiet, and only barks when he hears a noise, and will stop on command. He likes to play fetch with his foster mom and is housebroken, and enjoys his daily walks. Whether it's playtime or cuddle time, this sweet pup wants to be with you and brings happiness to everyone he meets! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
