Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About Sheba...

Meet Sheba – Your Low-Key Little Queen!  Sheba is an 11-year-old Chihuahua mix with a calm spirit and a heart full of sweetness. This gentle girl is the definition of easygoing—perfect for someone looking for a quiet, loving companion. Sheba is pee pad trained, does great on her own if you're away for a few hours, and is happy to just relax and enjoy the peace of home. She enjoys short outdoor strolls and a bit of fresh air, but she's just as content snuggled up on the couch or in her favorite cozy spot. Sheba gets along with just about everyone and doesn’t ask for much—just a safe, loving home where she can live out her golden years in comfort. She's a great match for someone who appreciates a low-maintenance, sweet-tempered pup. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturdays 11:30-1:30.
