Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Maple...

Maple is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being close to her people. She’s goofy, fun, and happiest when snuggled on the couch in a blanket or lounging in a sunny spot. She enjoys walks, squeaky toys, rolling in the grass, and chewing on her favorite trachea bone treats. She’s house-trained and comfortable in a crate for short stretches, especially when she knows she’s not alone. Maple is very smart and learns quickly—she’s treat-motivated indoors and eager to please. She even knows a few tricks! Outside, she’s still working on staying calm and focused, but she’s making great progress with consistent training. She rides well in the car and makes a cheerful, relaxed travel companion. Maple should be the only pet in the home. While she generally does well seeing other dogs in public, she does best in a calm, low-distraction setting. She’s a loving companion who thrives with routine, activity, and connection. With the right person or in the right household, Maple will be the sweetest and most loyal best friend. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturdays 11:30-1:30.
