Ollie (Oliver) is ready to find his forever home. Estimated to be about 2-3yrs old. UTD on shots, microchipped and neutered male Chihuahua mix/Chiweenie. He is the sweetest little cuddle bug, who needs an experienced owner (preferably female) who is able to continue his house training and understands timid dogs. Oliver had a difficult beginning, and does well with patience and lots of love. He doesn’t love to be picked up too quickly, but will jump into your lap if you call to him. He is very obedient and highly trainable. Oliver prefers women but will definitely warm up to men. Small children are a little too exciting for Oliver, but he does like girls over 9-10 yrs old. Oliver wants to give you all his love and will do best in a home with no other dogs… or perhaps a calm, well behaved dog. He is not a fan of large male dogs when leashed, but ignores them when off leash inside the dog run. He seems to be fine with street cats, so might do well in a home with a cat. His foster mom says "it’s been an absolute joy to have him in our care”. Oliver will be a wonderful companion to someone who loves a lap dog but also loves to get outdoors and do some hiking or other activities. He is very agile and a high jumper so he might be an excellent candidate for agility training! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
