Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Greyson...

Meet Greyson, an irresistibly scruffy and sweet Westie–Poodle mix with a heart-melting smile and a perky, loyal presence. In just a couple of weeks in foster care, he’s shown what a quick learner and devoted companion he can be. Greyson is thriving with a consistent routine—he picked up “sit” almost immediately and is doing great with house training thanks to frequent walks and gentle encouragement. He’s getting the hang of leash walking and is proud of his new stair-climbing skills, which once felt daunting. Now, he bounds up with confidence. He’s especially content when he’s near his person—whether it’s curling up on the couch, resting at your feet while you work, or cuddling during bedtime stories with the kids. He gets along well with other dogs, loves nature walks, and is happiest when included in daily life. Greyson would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a gentle, loving sidekick. He may not have had many chances to explore the world before, but he’s making up for lost time with heart and curiosity! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
