Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About Kiwi...

 We received an emergency call that a Yorkie had just given birth a few hours before. The situation was not a healthy environment for her new born puppies or for the mom. Kiwi and her puppies were rescued by Petrescue, and brought to a foster family where they have been lovingly cared for, for the last 8 weeks. They are strong, healthy, beautiful Yorkiepoo puppies (dad was a poodle), and are now ready to join their forever homes. Kiwi has proven to be a gentle, loving, nurturing mom, and an all around great dog. She walks well on a leash, knows her name and some commands, and is friendly with other dogs that are not overly dominant.  She has been living with children and is fine with kids over 5 years old. She is good on hikes of moderate distance, and doesn’t seem bothered by city noise and traffic. She is fine in the car and LOVES belly rubs. What a wonderful new beginning for Kiwi and her puppies. Each puppy will be listed individually on our website.  Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
