Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About ZZ Tashi- Courtesy Listing...

Tashi is an 8 year old, very sweet, very loving Tibetan Spaniel…housetrained, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Unfortunately his owner lost her home in a fire, and must on very short notice, move from her current rental. Tashi has lived with his current owner since he was 10 months old. He’s a friendly boy who plays with both dogs and cats. He’s fun, funny, sweet and loves to ride on the paddle boards with his family. Tashi is sensitive to noises, and loves to be with his family. He will do best in a home where people are home much of the time, or he has the companionship of another dog. Ideally his new forever home will be one in Westchester.
