Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Zora...

Zora is a year old, beautiful Husky pup, with the most unusual facial markings. Her foster mom says that her personality has come shining through and she is such a love!! She has puppy energy and LOVES other dogs...loves to play and walk. A fenced in backyard would be ideal. Zora can get puppy mouthy but is able to be redirected easily. She is working on potty training, and does well when kept on a schedule. Zora is gentle and loves kids. She loves belly and chin rubs, tolerates a bath nicely and loves to hug and snuggle. She is not at all destructive to furniture or household things and almost never barks. She likes to hang on the couch and watch tv but she’s also happy to lay on the kitchen floor and play with a toy. She will be an ideal family member in a forever home where the family has lots of time to play with her. Zora loves to be with her humans! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
