Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Lucy...

Meet Lucy... whose age is definitely just a number. Don’t be fooled by the fact that she is is 12.  This cuddly love bug loves to be outside and go for long walks. She is super curious and loves to investigate every inch with her nose to the ground...and she is a hoot. With ears fit for flying, and a perpetual smile, this girl is fun. Once she has had her exercise, she is perfectly content to nap and cuddle up with a cozy blanket. She is an expert cuddler and loves her belly scratches. Lucy is not a barker, but she will alert you when someone comes to the house. She is fine with other dogs, if introduced correctly and enjoys a good mutual sniff, especially with small dogs. Lucy is fine around respectful kids. She lives comfortably with another dog in her foster home, and will do well in a home with another mellow or older dog…or she would be fine as an only dog. Just imagine waking up to those ears every morning! Lucy is an adorable little character who will bring lots of love, joy and laughs to her forever family. Be sure to complete an application on line, and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
