Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About ZZ Rosie-Courtesy Listing...

Rosie is an almost 4 year old (5/28/2020) Short Hair Pointer Mix. She is the snuggliest, softest love bug. She is 60-65lbs. She loves walks, hikes, dog parks, playing fetch in fields, going for rides in the car and visiting stores like Home Goods or Home Depot. She is a true companion. She is timid with new people but when she earns your trust she is a true best friend. Rosie went to a 6 week training camp at Balanced K9 in Fairfield CT. She learned how to follow commands and be more comfortable out in public. She is incredibly smart and playful. Rosie would do well in a house with no kids and no other pets.If you are interested in this dog, please contact  631-848-3139
