Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Mia...

Mia is a total sweetheart who will mix well in any home.  She is a real snuggle bug, loves to lay in bed/couch... and loves other dogs and all visitors. She is currently in a foster home with two other dogs, and loves to play tug of war or fetch. Mia is great on the leash and shows no reactivity or prey drove. Her foster family says “she does not have a mean bone in her body”, and would love to be part of an active family. Mia is food motivated which always helps with training. She has gotten better at potty training and has learned to potty outside. She sleeps great through the night in her crate, and likes to be out early in the morning, ready to start her day. Mia is not destructive with furniture…but will show a stuffed toy just who is boss!  Mia is a happy puppy and can’t wait to book some cuddle time with her forever family. Be sure to complete an application on line and continue to monitor our website for updates.
