Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Koby...

Koby is a sweet guy who enjoys gentle pets. He has been in a foster home with 4 dogs who are bigger than him. and he gets along fine with all. He also seems to be fine with cats that are in crates, as he rests close to the crate, and doesn't mind when the cat touches him. Koby is a sweet, very quiet pup…not at all a barker. He loves his people…does not like to be alone, and the more companionship the better. He will definitely do best in a home with a canine buddy. Koby is a very good boy, not at all destructive...a lover who will let you hold him, but is more comfortable just spending time sitting next to you. Koby is housebroken when kept on a schedule and has made great strides walking on a leash in the yard, but still cautious. He is a good eater, and food motivated which always helps with training. Koby does not need to be crated at bed time and will go to bed on his own. His foster mom says that “every day he gets braver. He is a good boy and very sweet…just wants to be loved”  Sounds like Koby makes that pretty easy. Be sure to complete an application online and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
