Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Charlie...

Meet Charlie! He was found in the Bronx, wandering the street. Fortunately we were alerted to his situation, picked him up and he is now in a loving foster home. Charlie is a total cuddlebug and loves to be with people. His foster mom says “he asks for more petting by putting his cute little paw on your hand, and it’s the cutest thing” He loves to show off his "sit" command, bonds quickly, and is friendly with other dogs. Charlie is working on his housebreaking and showing good progress. Charlie does not like traffic or the sounds of the city, and is best suited for a quieter environment. He will do best in a home with teen or older kids. He has made himself quite comfortable in his foster home... and enjoys taking a long nap during the day.  Be sure to complete an application on line and monitor our website for updates.
