Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

A little About Dexter...

Meet Dexter! He is one of the dogs rescued by Petrescue from a difficult hoarding situation.  Dexter is one of many dogs who were housed in too small an area and given no personal care. Dexter's foster mom says "he is such a doll boy". He is housebroken, affectionate, a cuddlebug...loves dogs, cats, kids. Dexter is a special needs dog. He has limited vision and a heart murmer which requires daily medication. We are so glad we were able to remove Dexter from that untenable living situation, and find him a loving forever home in which to live comfortably... and make up for all those loving years he missed. If you have room in your heart for this sweet boy, he is sure to reward you with love and loyal companionship. If you are interested in meeting Dexter, be sure to complete an application on line.
