Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Murray...

Watch a video of Murray catching a frisbee. .Murray is a beautiful, medium sized, black and brown cattle dog/hound mix. He is happy and friendly and loves to be petted.  He is almost two years old and very well mannered. He loves to play catch and shake hands, and is good with older kids and grown-ups.  Murray has already had lots of training. He is fully house broken, crate trained, sleeps through the night in his own bed, walks on a leash, and travels well in a car. He is VERY sweet and affectionate — just an all around wonderful guy! Sadly, due to unexpected job changes and life issues his family cannot keep him. They are searching for a special, loving home where Murray will have lots of full time fun and will be the center of attention for years to come. Be sure to complete an application on line and meet Murray at our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
