Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About ZZ Champ-Courtesy Listing...

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue.  Please contact the owner listed below directly.

Champ is a lovable 12 year old lab mix. He is a tall and skinny, 72 pounds.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, through no fault of his own, he is now looking for a loving home to spend his senior years. He has been with the same family since he was a puppy, enduring many tail pulls and attempted back rides from three children. Now he is happy to spend most of his time resting on the couch and waiting for the mail lady to come to the front door. He enjoys cuddling with his head resting on his human mom’s lap. He still loves to run in open spaces, but at home he is content to just chill. Champ has lived with two other dogs, one small and the other medium, and has always played well.
