Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Blue...

 Meet Blue!
This adorable black lab mix pup is about 8 months old, about 40 pounds, neutered and up to date on all vaccinations.
Blue is a smart boy who has learned basic commands such as: sit, down and responds when his name is called.
He is a typical, happy puppy who loves to run, play and is friendly with other dogs and children. However, Blue sometimes forgets how strong he is, so it is suggested that Blue goes to an experienced home with teenage or older children. He is not a barker and just wants to please. Blue is doing well with his house training and walking on a leash. He sleeps throughout the night in his bed and is just a joy to have around. Can you give him a home?
