Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About ZZ Caine-Courtesy Listing...

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue.  Please contact the owner listed below directly

Caine is an active, playful, and healthy 8 year old hound mix who is looking for a forever home. Caine is fully housebroken and crate trained (sleeps in his crate at night with no issues), and generally does not chew or have destructive tendencies in his home. While he can be shy at first around strangers, he loves walks on his leash, hikes, runs, running around in an enclosed yard/space, laying in the sun, playing with his toys, and cuddling on the couch in the evenings. He is a loyal and loving guy. Caine would prefer a forever home with no children and preferably no other dogs or cats. He is sometimes dog reactive on his leash therefore a quieter neighborhood would likely be best for him. He knows and responds to his basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, and place.
