Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Cupcake...

Hi! I’m Cupcake and I’m the most affectionate dog you’ll ever meet! I’m looking for my forever family so I can give you kisses, snuggle with you, and lie across your feet for a tummy rub. I love to go on walks and I’ve learned to walk on a loose leash. I would love to play in a fenced-in yard. I’m super smart and can “sit”, “come”, “leave it”, “take it”, “drop”, “heel”, “crate”, “shake”, “stand”, and. “down”. Two of my favorite games to play are hide and seek with my foster family and chasing a stuffy on a flirt pole. I also love my snuffle mat, lick mats, Kongs, and chew toys. My foster mom thinks I would love to learn Scent Work through the American Kennel Club but only if it works for you! My ideal family would be any family (big kids are ok but I’m a little much for little ones)! Some attention during the day and access to my chew toys would be perfect! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you — I’m completely housebroken! Also, I’ll stay on my bed when you’re eating dinner! Ok I need to go now but please fill out an application for me! Watch a video of me showing off my training tricks.
