Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About ZZ Luna-Courtesy Listing...

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue.  Please contact the owner listed below directly.
Luna is a 25 pound, 9 year old pup, up to date on all vaccines, who has lost her home through no fault of her own. She was happy and very loved by an elderly gentleman who unfortunately passed away. She is very sweet and loves to be spoiled with affection.  Luna is used to spending lots of time at home, is very much a lap dog and will cuddle on the couch all day of allowed.  Alternatively she loves her bed on the floor and will be very comfortable there. She walks nicely in her harness, does well on car drives, and obeys basic commands.  She is not a barker and will only bark to alert you that someone is at the door.  She seems to tolerate a cat, but wants to give you all her love and prefers to be your one and only canine family member. Luna has not had any experience with young children.  Luna has always lived with one man, and as a result prefers the company of men…She will make a wonderful companion to an elderly gentleman. Luna will bring her bed, food, bowls, harness/leash, milk bones and all her gear with her to her new home. One of Luna’s eyes requires daily drops.
