Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Travis...

Travis is a happy, active 3 year old, 35 lb. Bull Terrier mix.  He is a clown who will make you laugh with his antics.  He's got the most adorable heart marking on his nose and if you don't fall in love with that, the way he sits will totally get you (did someone say frog?)  He is very sweet, but does need some manners training as he can be a bit nibbly when excited.  But after his initial excitement, he settles down nicely.  He loves to go on long walks in the neighborhood and enjoys playtime in the yard.  Travis loves to play with his sister Shirley, but he also enjoys playing with other dogs too, although he will do best as the only dog in your family. Travis should go to an experienced dog owner and a home that does not have small children.  Come meet Travis- he may even do his famous army crawl for you.  Travis is sure to melt your heart.
