Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Penelope & Sebastian...

Penelope (red collar) is a lovable 2 year old, 13 lb Schnauzer mix. She makes friends with everyone she meets whether they are canine or the human variety.  Penelope is a very sweet and curious pup, and a pleasure to be with. Sebastian (pink collar) is a 10 month old, 17 lb Schnauzer mix. He is a doll in every way, ...housebroken and friendly with all. Sebastian is sweet and gentle and good with children, adults and dogs alike. He loves to be carried and petted, and to snuggle into a comfortable position in your lap. These two dogs have formed a beautiful bond, (they even look like sister and brother!) We would like their forever home to adopt both dogs, so that they can continue the beautiful friendship they now enjoy. In some ways, having two dogs is easier than one because they keep each other company.  If you have room in your heart for 2, this perfect pair is sure to reward you with a lifetime of loyal companionship. Watch a video of these two playing!
