Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Coco...

Coco hardly expected to be house hunting at this age, but sometimes life throws a curve ball.  Are you in need of a devoted new friend?… Meet Coco.  He is good with people and friendly and playful with dogs of all sizes.  Coco is an inside/outside guy.  He enjoys walks outside, and is currently potty trained to go outside or use wee wee pads. He will sit for belly rubs, and if you stop too soon, he will remind you he still needs loving, by tapping your hand. At the mature age of 9, there will be no chewed shoes to worry about.  If you prefer your dogs in smaller packages, and believe that age is no barrier to love, then Coco might be the one for you.  Due to his small size, Coco is more suitable for families with older children.  Coco will require daily eye medication.
