Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Taz...

Introducing Taz!… This handsome poodle mix is 12 years young and weighs 18 lbs.  He is an easygoing, housebroken gentleman who is looking for quiet companionship. He enjoys leisurely strolls, solving puzzle toys, and snacking on fresh fruit, along with dog treats and the occasional bit of cheese.  Taz is smart and observant, and likes to be included in daily activities. Content to relax nearby without ever making a fuss, he is a peaceful, well-mannered soul looking for a calm home. Tax is a true “one person” dog who bonds deeply with his human.  He prefers to build trust on his own timeline, so he needs an understanding adopter who will respect his independence…he is not a fan of being picked up and likes to initiate pets and cuddles on his own terms. Once he knows you’re his person, he’ll happily follow you from room to room, settles down quietly at bedtime, and will shower you with affection and sweet tummy rubs. Taz would be happiest in a quiet home without small children, where he can enjoy the peaceful lifestyle he loves. This charming senior has so much love to give and is ready to spend his golden years with someone who will appreciate what a truly wonderful companion he is. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
