Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

  2. If you are looking to adopt, select 3 animals that interest you AND write them down for your application.
  3. Click on "Start Dog Adoption Application" below
  4. Complete the Adoption Application and submit

A little About Ricky...

If your idea of a perfect evening is settling in on the couch with a calm, quiet companion by your side, Ricky just might be your guy. This sweet five-year-old chihuahua has a gentle, easy temperament. Ricky will follow you from room to room, watching TV together, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon. He's completely relaxed when left alone and settles in on his own without fuss. At night, he sleeps calmly in the kitchen straight through until morning. Housetraining is a non-issue... Ricky reliably goes outside and is also trained to use a wee pad when needed. Ricky is friendly with other digs and cats and on walks, he's a real gentleman on the leash. He's naturally a little shy at first, but he warms up to new people he meets on the street without any trouble. Ricky is a loyal, low-key, and quietly devoted companion. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30..
