Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Skylar...

Meet Skyler…a sweet girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. She thrives on human companionship and is happiest when she’s by your side, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or joining in on daily adventures. Because she forms strong bonds with her people, she doesn’t do well being left alone for long periods and would do best in a home where someone is around often. She’s also the life of the party in dog groups....a total instigator.. She’s the kind of dog that makes everything more fun…for better or worse. She can easily stir up the energy level during playtime. Skyler is housebroken, and seems good with kids, though she brings her full enthusiasm to greetings. She can be selective about her canine friends, but is perfectly happy as an only dog or with a compatible companion. Skyler is smart, expressive, and endlessly entertaining. Life with Skyler is never boring, and she gives back every bit of love she receives. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
