Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Mambo...

Watch a video of Mambo

Meet Mambo, a sweet and handsome boy with a shiny jet-black coat, a distinguished white chest, and ears that stand at perfect attention. Mambo is affectionate with his people — he loves pets and scratches and will ask for more if you stop too soon. And when he finally settles in for a rest, his deep sighs and groans of contentment are impossible not to smile at. Mambo is young, athletic, and playful, and he gets along well with cats and canine buddies alike. A charming party trick? The moment his food bowl appears, he drops into a perfect auto-sit — no command needed. He is eager to please, highly food motivated, and picks things up quickly. Mambo loves a good game of tug and will make an excellent companion. He is still learning all about house life and making big strides every day — the kind of dog who will thrive with a patient adopter who enjoys watching a smart dog come into his own. Mambo finds young children a little too exciting and will do best in a home with older children or adults. Be sure to complete an application online and come meet him at our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30–1:30.
