Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About ZZ Finn-Courtesy Listing...

Meet Finn.  He became homeless when his owner recently passed away. Finn is an awesome 2yr old German Shepherd. True to his breed, he is smart and loyal. He was well bred and has great structure and hips.  He responds well to ALL spoken commands, is housebroken, and takes food gently. He is excellent in the house  and quietly follows you around.  Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, walks very well on the leash and does 'his business quickly once outside. Finn  prefers spending time with his person and would do best with a quiet home with lots of love. Finn enjoys bird watching but is definitely a squirrel chaser. Finn would benefit from a place to run (a large fenced yard would be great) and an active lifestyle, although he is capable of being a couch potato as well. He is young and deserves a forever home to call his own.  This young handsome boy needs a forever home asap, as his foster family will be traveling at the end of October!  If interested please contact 646-207-6966 or ldellatte@hotmail.com
