Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Freedom...

If you are looking for a gentle, loving and quiet boy, look no further than Freedom. This boy loves to give kisses and get belly rubs. He's house broken when on a schedule. He loves exploring the backyard and getting out his morning zoomies there. He sleeps through the night on any of the beds made available to him. He lies in the crate to relax with the door open. He is still learning to play with toys, and does love the squeaky ones. He does not chew on furniture or shoes. He walks very well on a leash...does not pull at all. He gets excited by squirrels, birds and deer, and starts doing pirouettes, but does not fully tear after them.  He is food motivated and should learn more commands easily. He does understand the basic ones. Freedom will make a wonderful companion. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
