Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Hudson...

Hudson is a very beautiful, smart, and loyal Golden Retriever mix and at 7 years old, and 55 lbs is very active for her age! She has been with her current family for 6 years, and is very loved, but  is being rehomed due to concerns about her level of anxiety around their toddler. If you like to get out and exercise, Hudson would love to be your fitness partner. She walks nicely on a leash, and loves to hike and be outdoors. Hudson is dog selective (prefers male dogs), and wants to be the only dog in her forever home. She is completely housebroken and respectful when left alone. She is never destructive … no chewing or getting into anything she shouldn’t. Hudson spent some time living in an apartment in Brooklyn, and did not enjoy the city environment … she is much happier now living in the quieter suburbs with a fenced-in backyard. Hudson prefers an adult-only home to enjoy with her forever family... with an experienced dog owner who is committed to continuing her training.
